Kargil and Alchi

Then we spent couple of days in Kargil which is still a Muslim town very close to the border with Pakistan – and where it was sometimes surprisingly hard to find vegetarian food. From there we went through quick stops in Mulbekh and Lamayuru to Alchi, where we again stayed for several days.

Finally some photos from our summer trip to India with Lada!

We started in Srinagar and Kashmir, just a few days before there started quite big separatist protests. And of course on the way to India we flew through Istanbul just a few hours before the terrorist attack at the airport. But all was good and safe for us.

The small village Naranag is surrounded by very nice hills, but has terrible guesthouse, even for Indian standards

So we soon went on to Kargil,
